Building Klau in the Open, Week 17: A Quiet Week by Design

Week 17 of building Klau in the open.

I barely worked on Klau this week. I ran a few health checks to make sure the active pilots were running smoothly, and they were.

That's what I want. Klau is deliberately not an empire. No team. No meetings. Calm and consistent. The dollars are small today and uptake is slow, but the shape of it fits where I am in life.

I'm in this for the long haul with Klau, and the long haul doesn't have to mean 80-hour weeks. Those weeks have happened and will happen again, but the weeks where things run smoothly are the ones I'm building toward. Klau could grow faster. There could be a team, investors, and all the stress that comes with them. Or it can be this.

My goals mostly live outside the office: mountain bike rides with my son, building trails, and mixing work with adventure.

Most of my goals live outside the office.

Outside of Klau, the week was full. A contract project went to production and I've been deep in the polish phase. That kind of work fills my bucket because it creates real value for the people using it. I've never chased dollars, and over the years it has always worked out.

Still building.
