Building Klau in the Open, Week 3: First Demo and Pricing
Week three of building Klau in the open.
I did my first real demo. It was with an operation of about 50 trucks across multiple states, with some unusual requirements, including security clearances for certain job sites. During the call they walked me through that constraint. By the next morning it was built into the algorithm. Being small and focused lets me move that fast.
What Klau is
A few people have asked what Klau is, so here it is plainly.
Klau is a dispatching companion. It sits alongside your existing systems: EnCORE, NavuSoft, Hauler Hero, or whatever you run for billing and operations. Klau doesn't try to replace any of that. It does one thing: it helps your dispatcher build a better plan for the day.
The algorithm optimizes for value. Container chaining means drivers don't spend 30 minutes swapping boxes at the yard. Material arbitrage means you don't overpay at the dump. Workload balancing means your best driver isn't buried while someone else is light. Every decision is aimed at your bottom line.

Each assignment shows the costs and credits behind it.
Pricing
I also settled on pricing this week. A conversation with a friend in the industry helped me see that the price needs to relate directly to the value Klau provides. The metric that makes the most sense is jobs optimized. My costs scale with that number, and so does your value.
I'm looking for 10 founding members to build this with me. $30k gets you lifetime access, 2,500 jobs per month included forever, and a direct line to the person writing the code. It's a partnership as much as a software purchase.
If that sounds like you, reach out. This industry runs on relationships, and I'm grateful for every connection.
I'm heading out to ride the trails this weekend. Back at it Monday.
