The Waste Industry Deserves Better Software

The waste industry deserves better software.

That has been my goal from day one. The longer I work in this space, the more convinced I am that the gap between what this industry needs and what it gets is still too wide.

Waste touches every household, every business, and every city. Yet it is still one of the most underserved industries when it comes to software that is intuitive, reliable, and modern. Drivers struggle with clunky interfaces. Dispatchers work around system limits. Haulers patch workflows together because the tools were never built with their reality in mind.

And still, they show up every day and make it work.

That resilience is part of what keeps me going. I've seen what happens when good technology meets real-world operations. It's not about extra features. It's about giving people tools that make their jobs easier, their operations smoother, and their businesses stronger.

That's the bar, and it's still too rare. So I'm going to start sharing more about what I'm seeing, where I think we can do better, and what "better" should look like.

If you care about solving hard problems in essential industries, I think you'll find this worth following.
